The Communications Program Manager will be dedicated to supporting, building, and expanding existing and future electric vehicle education and outreach campaigns throughout the country.

Summary of Position

As the Communications Program Manager (other entities might call this position an Account Executive or even a Senior Account Executive) you will contribute to and manage strategic communications and outreach initiatives using social media, digital platforms, educational materials, and events. This wide-ranging role is well suited for a self-starter who likes to do a variety of content-rich, engaging work. 

The candidate should possess a creative drive and be able to articulate and document ideas to the internal REACH and partner teams, as well as participants and stakeholders. The candidate should have experience managing communications campaigns, events, and ongoing initiatives and have sound understanding of campaign & engagement principles and associated measurement metrics.

Responsibilities

This is an important role in a growing organization and the ideal candidate will be responsible for defining how it is developed further:

  • Develop, contribute to and execute on the ongoing campaign to grow electric vehicle adoption.
  • Manage multiple digital media platforms to support the program.
  • Plan and deliver targeted communications campaigns using an appropriate suite of marketing tools.
  • Liaise with and manage design, print teams, and suppliers.
  • Conduct baseline and benchmark research.
  • Evaluate campaigns to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service.
  • Plan and execute a variety of outreach events.
  • Manage and develop program relationships.

Essential Qualifications

  • Interest in promoting clean vehicles and sustainable economic development in the state of California and nationally.
  • Understanding of digital/social marketing and engagement marketing principles.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and how to engage constituents through them.
  • Ability to anticipate needs/issues and to execute sound decision making.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to apply them to communications campaigns.
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle fast paced environment and rapidly changing priorities.

As a Communications Specialist, you will support a diverse range of projects and content areas. Your work might include research, content development, relationship management, logistical planning, and data management. This is a great, wide-ranging role for a self-starter looking to grow in their work while engaging in an interesting variety of work and tasks.In the process, you’ll leverage your creative drive and ability to articulate and document ideas internally to your team and externally with our partners.

Work experience: 2-4 years with 1-2 years related to communications/marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage research and data through Google Docs.
  • Plan and deliver targeted communications campaigns using an appropriate suite of tools.
  • Support the planning and delivery of virtual and in-person events (including evenings and weekends).
  • Develop content including email, reports, etc.
  • Develop social and blog content.
  • Liaise with and manage design and print teams and suppliers.
  • Conduct baseline and benchmark research.
  • Maintain calendars and project tasks.
  • Support on-site meetings and events as needed.
  • Take detailed notes and produce accurate highlights and action items.
  • Manage and develop client, vendor, and partner relationships.
  • Travel required (within COVID safety guidelines).
