Have you lived in the same place your whole life, or have you moved around?

Hello All! I’m Lily. I joined the REACH team as their newest communications specialist in February, 2024. I grew up surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of West Marin, where nature was not just a backdrop but an integral part of my daily life. Being surrounded by both beaches and mountains in the small towns of Marin County, California, I developed a profound appreciation for the natural world. I always knew (even as a child) that I wanted to do my part in preserving the beautiful place that I call home. Following high school I moved down the coast to Santa Barbara to pursue my schooling. I am now studying user experience and user interface design which quickly became a passion of mine the second it was presented to me. Currently I’m back in my hometown, but my recent summer travels across Europe have left me itching for more adventures. I had the life changing experience of getting to walk the northern route of the Camino de Santiago in Spain and spent the remainder of my time exploring the islands of Greece and visiting family in France. I know that there are certainly more exciting moves and exploring to come!

What are your hobbies?

I’ve been a dancer for 22 years. My first love was ballet. At age four I fell in love with everything to do with dance, especially the enchanting outfits. Little did I know it would become one of the biggest motivations in my life. Honing my craft was my main priority, following my company directors from the school year in California to dancing summer intensives in Oregon under their direction. While my dance career remains one of my proudest achievements, I’m grateful for the paths I’ve taken beyond the studio. Currently, I have the privilege of serving as the head coach of a Dance Team at a local high school, where I get to share my passion with enthusiastic young dancers. The joy and fulfillment I find in sharing my love for dance with my students surpasses anything I could have imagined.

What brought you to REACH?

Connections truly are the backbone of opportunity. Having built relationships with a few employees at REACH, I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited to lend a hand at some of their events in the past. These connections have opened doors and provided me with my current job at REACH. I am beyond excited to learn and grow while being a part of this close knit team!
