Hosted by Recharge America, a REACH Strategies client, the state-level symposia provided dynamic platforms for participants to exchange insights, discuss best practices, and recognize organizations and communities who have led the charge in EV adoption and clean energy.
Recharge Minnesota
Sponsored by Xcel Energy and the McKnight Foundation, the Recharge Minnesota Symposium highlighted the state's accomplishments in increasing access to charging stations and recognized leading organizations that have made significant strides in electrifying transportation.
The symposium took place September 2024 at the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. Attendees explored topics such as expanding EV charging infrastructure, integrating renewable energy sources, and developing state-level policies to encourage wider EV adoption.
Justin Johnson, director of technology at The PLUM Catalyst, gave the event’s keynote address. Throughout the day, policymakers, charging manufacturers, utility representatives, and community leaders advocating for EVs discussed approaches to overcome barriers and accelerated Minnesota's transition to a clean energy economy.
Recharge Massachusetts
Similarly, the Recharge Massachusetts Recognition Symposium in Boston this October celebrated local and regional achievements in electrification and fostered plenty of discussions around electrification and infrastructure.
Other sessions tackled topics ranging from implementing equitable access to clean energy technology to fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Environments for networking and collaboration
Both symposia were not just about presentations. Attendees had the chance to connect with fellow leaders, exchange ideas, and form new partnerships to help drive progress in the electrification space. Networking breaks and informal discussions also allowed folks to build meaningful relationships.
Minnesota’s participants also got to take a look at ALTA ERV’s innovative fleet and emergency response EVs, a local product from the state. In Massachusetts, nearly a dozen partnering organizations showcased their work.
The Recharge Minnesota and Recharge Massachusetts symposia demonstrated the power of gathering diverse voices to discuss opportunities in clean energy and transportation electrification. An inspiring set of dialogues on the way to an electric transportation future.
